Police raided a property they suspected of potentially being a cannabis farm, only to find out the room had guinea pigs in it.
It is assumed the police had used thermal imaging from a helicopter and found a source of heat.
That heat turned out to be heater keeping the guinea pigs warm.
According to BreakingNews.ie, owner Pam said “When I opened it up and they saw the guinea pigs, they didn’t say anything.
“They were in the garage two seconds and they left.”
No guinea pigs were hurt in the raid, though the police did apologise for any distress they caused.
